The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) is a multidisciplinary spring semester event.

SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a full day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays, and poster), luncheon, keynote speakers, a SUNY Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty. SURC is supported by the Offices of the Chancellor, Provost, and Research Foundation, as well as SUNY student and faculty governance organizations.

***ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS***
Before you register, check with your school mentor or campus SURC contact, if the campus is going to pay your registration fee.

Check Payment

Please make checks payable TBD and mail to the address below.  To ensure timely posting of your payment, please include a copy of your invoice with payment OR reference registrant name and event on your check stub.

Campus Billing
The campus will pay the registration fee for students and/or faculty/staff with one invoice.

Group Registration
  • The main SURC campus contact registers each group member.

Payment Options:

    • Credit Card: Pay by credit card in one transaction at the time of registration. If not paid at the time of registration, the main group contact will need to pay each group member’s registration fee separately.
    • Check or Journal Transfer: Pay by check or journal transfer.

    Group Registration Process

    Process if you are NOT attending the conference

    1. Enter the 1st group members information under personal information. 
    2. Click on “register on behalf”.  Enter first & last name with email address – Note: This will be the administrator for the group. 
    3. Go through the registration process. 
    4. On the summary page click add group member. 
    5. Select the registration type (faculty or student).
    6. Enter the next group members information
    7. Repeat the process until all group members have been registered.

    You only have to select “register on behalf” once.  The system will recognize that the group lead/admin is registering the group.

    Process if you ARE attending the conference

    1. Enter the 1st group members information under personal information.  This person will become the group lead/admin.
    2. Go through the registration process. 
    3. On the summary page click add group member. 
    4. Select the registration type (faculty or student).
    5. Enter the next group members information
    6. Repeat the process until all group members have been registered.

    Group Member Steps:

      • Once group members receive the confirmation, they need to log in to modify their registration.
      • Update dietary and ADA requirements.

    Cancellation Policy
    Cancellation Policy Refunds are issued based on the following schedule:

    • Cancellations received 31 or more days prior to program: 100% refund
    • Cancellations received 16 to 30 days prior to program: 50% refund
    • Cancellations received 15 days or fewer prior to program: Not eligible for refund
