Universal Design for Learning – Spring 2024 Offerings

Access for All Webinar Series 

Virtual via Zoom - Wednesdays from 1:00PM-2:00PM 

All webinars will be recorded and sent for post-production captioning.  

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) at SUNY, supported by the SUNY CPD, is proud to continue to offer the Access for All Webinar Series. This series of one-hour online webinars addresses topics of interest related to UDL in higher education. These webinars will be offered by Empire State University’s Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES).  

  • February 28th, 2024 – Supporting our Diverse Student Body: Executive Functioning 
    • March 27th, 2024 – Supporting our Diverse Student Body: Continuation of Executive Functioning through Universal & Tiered Supports 
    • April 17th, 2024 – Supporting our Diverse Student Body: Student Empowerment for Neurodivergent Students 
    • May 15th, 2024 – Supporting our Diverse Student Body: Continuation of Student Empowerment for Neurodivergent Students

Resources to Address Changing Student Needs: Anonymous Survey  

The SUNY Universal Design for Learning Initiative and Empire State University Center for Autism Advocacy: Research, Education, and Supports (CAARES) are partnering to better support the student body post-pandemic, given increased mental health challenges across SUNY campuses and nationwide.  This survey will provide us input into the creation of professional development opportunities and resources for SUNY faculty and staff as they address the changing needs of students in higher education.

Asynchronous (Self-Paced) Universal Design for Learning Course 

A self-paced online course delivered on D2L Brightspace, will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Universal Design for Learning framework. Participants who successfully complete the requirements of the course will earn a digital Credly badge.
