Interested in a career in New York State government? Led by the former New York State Division of the Budget Director and current President of the Rockefeller Institute Robert Megna, you’ll hear how state government is an essential player in our health, education, and wellness, and how you can use your skills — scientific, financial, technological — to create and maintain healthy and whole communities right here in New York.

  •  High Impact Financial Literacy for Undergraduate Researchers

Michael Wan, Financial Literacy Program Specialist, Fleishman Career Center

Join us for a professional development session designed to help you with financial literacy and well-being after graduation. We’ll discuss funding options for graduate school, budgeting strategies for variable income from stipends and grants, and tips for a smooth financial transition into post-graduate life. Gain practical insights to confidently take the next steps in your academic or professional journey.

  •  Leveraging Collective Funding for Scientific Research with Experiment

Sarah Gulliford, PhD, Community Operations Manager at Experiment.com

Crowdfunding is an effective way to raise money for specific causes by leveraging social networks. This funding strategy works well for scientific research projects, empowering anyone with a valid hypothesis — whether in academia, industry, or independent research — to explore the world around them. Experiment.com, launched in 2012, is a platform where backers directly fund scientific discoveries with minimal overhead. Anyone can start an experiment, provided the results will be shared openly. The Experiment team rigorously reviews and approves all projects for all-or-nothing crowdfunding.

  • Navigating the Graduate Application Process

Khadijah Boxill, Graduate Recruitment and Engagement Specialist in the Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at Binghamton University

We’re here to answer any questions you may have!
