Teaching DEISJ: Gender and Sexuality with Chloe Diamond-Lenow and Milo Obourn Friday March 29, 10 – 11 am

This 60-minute webinar will provide an overview of how to teach about Gender and Sexuality within the DEISJ general education requirement. We will discuss how a pedagogical focus on gender can move beyond the inclusion of women. To do this, we introduce intersectional and inclusive models of gender and sexuality, discuss the historical constructions of gender and sexuality as they intersect with race, class, and citizenship, and other markers of difference, and provide examples of social justice movements that center gender and sexual liberation.
